Montana modules - stock management
Stock matrix (fashion items) Allows up to five sets of variations of a stock item within a single SKU eg Size/Colour/Cut would be 3 sets of variations – also allows different VAT treatments, sales prices, purchase prices, supplier codes, bar codes, outers mixes per variation.
Serial number tracking Allows one or more serial numbers to be tracked per item either on purchase and sale or just on the sales side.
Part Exchange/Second-hand items Allows the purchase of second hand item and the sale of such items including maintaining the 2nd hand stock book of buyers and sellers – now includes refurbishment of second hand items.
Assemblies/Bill of materials Full assembly of completed stock items on either a “build for stock” or on a “build to order” basis, including multiple phases, use of components, own labour and sub contract labour (free issue), serialised components, assemble and disassemble.

Advanced sales price lists - single currency Allows different price lists for different groups of customers for different stock items for different sites/divisions/catalogues – can also be time limited.
Advanced sales price lists - multi currency extension Allows price lists to be set up in different currencies.
Special offers and promotions Allows a whole range of special offers, multi buys and promotions to be set up - including free item promotions and time limited offers - can be linked to a campaign for success monitoring.
   
Montana modules - sales operations
Special orders (customer collect) Allows customer special orders to be taken, deposits to be received, back to back orders to be placed on supplier, goods allocated to customer on receipt (or direct delivered to customer by supplier) and customer collection from site.

Mail order / sales order processing

Allows full processing of sales orders including back to back processing, order management, picking and dispatch.
Product configurator (customer options for build to order) To be used in conjunction with Assemblies module (see above) this module allows the customer to specify components and finishes to give a customer configured build to order.
Multi currency settlements

Allows alternative currencies to be used for payment for goods sold in another currency (NB this is not a multi currency price list see above).

Scales link (weighing module) Allows the use of weighing scales to be integrated with point of sale operations.
Concessions

Allows in store concessions to be set up and monitored allowing concession stock to be sold at any point of sale and royalties/fees to be automatically calculated.

Special VAT schemes Allows special government VAT schemes to be complied with eg second hand goods margin scheme, disabled goods schemes, retail export schemes etc including appropriate reports for HMCE and declarations/statements required at PoS.

Customer file

Stores details of customers, transactions, interests, buying habits, returns history etc - invaluable in building the value of your business.
Sales ledger Allows a fully functional sales ledger to be operated - including customer terms templates, flexible payment profiles, statements, allocations, unallocations, bounced cheques, aged debt reporting and much more.
Special offers and promotions Allows a whole range of special offers, multi buys and promotions to be set up - including free item promotions and time limited offers - can be linked to a campaign for success monitoring.
   
Montana modules - service sales

Repairs

Allows goods to be taken in for repair, allocation of materials and labour including sub contract issue and repair and billing to customer allows for simple scheduling.
Rentals Allows the rental of one or more items to customers either on a long term or short term basis - including deposit calculations, rental agreements, standing order management.
Hospitality Used for restaurant and bar interfaces includes table management - best for in-store cafes and restaurants.

Purchase order processing - single currency Purchase order processing and purchase invoice/credit entry – allows full true valuation of stock and true profit reports to be generated.
Purchase order processing - multi currency extension Multi currency version of Purchase order processing – Summer 2007.
Replenishment Automated calculation of re-order levels according to mins/maxs/ideals or expected sales levels taking into account items on order, branch requirements, special orders, supplier lead times etc.
Supplier catalogues Allows the storage of non-stocked items for sale by special order.

Montana messenger (auto e-mails etc) Automatic e-mails and text messages based on any event occurring within the database – no need for human intervention can be used for everything from exception management to marketing…

Montana modules - integration modules to use other systems with Montana
Import/export utility Allows the import or export of any record or transaction into or out of the Montana database to or from a variety of “text file” formats.

Accounts link module

Allows the entry of nominal ledger codes into Montana and the generation of ledger entries via the production of batch files for import into the accounting system – can be limited by the extent of the functionality in your accounting system.
Chip and PIN - Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) link Integrates credit card processing software into Montana so that you do not need to use separate PDQ/streamline machines – NB there is also a per user charge.
Web replication link module (E-commerce) per web site

Links Montana to either Actinic, Intershop or Montana Store e-commerce web shops allowing new stock prices and promotions to be automatically uploaded into Montana and new orders to be automatically downloaded into Warehouse distribution.

Post code look-up link module Integrates post code look up software (AFD or QAS) into Montana.
Hand held users

Allows the use of hand held data capture units for tasks such as stock taking, goods receiving, branch transfers and queue busting (per user).
